As a self-published author, I've worked hard to bring a fresh perspective to children's Canadian literature, and I'm proud to say that my efforts have been met with great success. I believe that children's books should be both educational and fun to read, which is why I strive to incorporate real-life situations into my stories. I’m a vocal advocate for representation of the BIPOC community in areas of dementia, and caregiving. I’m committed to promoting work-life balance and self-care, including the sandwich generation caregivers. As a sandwich-generation caregiver myself, I’m often embattled with finding the sweet spot of prioritizing my own life while caring for loved ones. I desire to create safe spaces for caregivers to navigate their feelings and emotions while ensuring that we all feel supported.
I want to help people find the resources they need and to demystify the stigma around dementia and Alzheimer's disease. People of colour who are caregivers have decreased health, and I am passionate about changing this. Let's work together to make caregiving an easier process and experience.

As a Black woman who doesn't fit the common narrative of age, style, and cultural background, I model to represent professional working women, mothers, and those who prioritize self-care.
Women in their mid-30s to mid-50s have significant buying power, yet we're often overlooked and underrepresented. I hope to inspire others like me and contribute to changing the narrative by advocating for more inclusion of middle-aged women and women of colour in all areas of society.
